If you are traveling international in a country with a US travel warning, you will be required to complete the risk assessment.  Please allow 30 days to complete this assessment, which must be completed before you travel.  Access this assessment on the Travel Authorization Form.

All Travel information can be found on the UA FSO Travel Homepage.

All other details are outlined on the SLAT Student Travel Application, including details on the UA Travel Authorization form.  Please download and read the SLAT Student Travel Application when applying for  SLAT Travel funds

Questions about SLAT travel grants may be directed to Kelley Merriam-Castro, kmerriam@email.arizona.edu, or to Robin Staples, rstaples@email.arizona.edu.

SLAT students may apply for departmental funding for travel to conferences or other professional development opportunities.  Funding preference is given to students who will present their research or participate in job interviews at the event. Maximum funding for conference travel is $275 or 75% of airfare costs, whichever is least. Students must apply to at least one other funding source to be eligible for SLAT travel funding.  Some generous awards are often made through GPSC or HE Carter Awards.  Check with your GAT hiring department for additional funding sources.  Students may apply to SLAT  for travel funding once per academic year.

SLAT provides separate funding for research support or travel to multiple events for students on the job market.  Please contact GIDP-SLAT@email.arizona.edu for details on additional funding opportunities

Good luck and Happy Travels!
